Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy regrets altercation with Aaron Rodgers

Following a narrow 27-24 defeat to the Cleveland Browns on Thursday evening that brought Pittsburgh's record to two wins and two losses, head coach Mike McCarthy expressed regret over his choice of language during a sideline confrontation with quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Early in the opening drive, picked up by television audio, Rodgers shouted his frustration at a delayed play call before exchanging heated words with his coach.

Addressing reporters afterward, McCarthy admitted that while fierce competition on the gridiron is normal, he wished he had avoided the profanity he used. The pair quickly put the disagreement behind them, celebrating harmoniously later in the match after Rodgers successfully converted a two-point rushing attempt.
