The case for Khaman Maluach to be the Suns’ starting center

Following a standout performance in Las Vegas where he led the competition in rebounding and secured a double-double in all four matchups, Khaman Maluach is drawing significant buzz as a potential starter for the Phoenix Suns. With teammate Mark Williams sidelined for a lengthy period due to a shoulder injury, the second-year center is competing directly with Oso Ighodaro for the opening spot.

Analysts point to his impressive Summer League averages of 19.5 points, 12.8 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, and 1.3 steals per contest, alongside strong shooting percentages, as evidence that his length and athleticism make him an ideal fit for the starting unit.
