Why the WNBA did not suspend A'ja Wilson for decisive Fever-Aces Game 3

The WNBA has cleared Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson to play in the upcoming Game 3 matchup against the Indiana Fever without facing any fines or suspensions. The league reviewed an incident from the fourth quarter of Wednesday's 99-89 loss at Gainbridge Arena, where Wilson engaged in a verbal altercation with a spectator who had pointed at her from seats behind the basket.

Following an investigation, league officials concluded that Wilson remained in the designated player escape lane rather than stepping directly into the stands, which averted an automatic suspension. This ruling ensures the reigning MVP will be available for the winner-take-all contest scheduled at Michelob Ultra Arena.
